How do I add money through a bank transfer?

Depending on your country of residence, you will have a variety of options of bank transfers available unique to you.

Payment methods are subject to availability within your country of residence.
The only payment methods that Xapo currently offers in your jurisdiction will be those displayed in your account when you place an order with us.

There are two types of transfers:

  • Local bank transfers: These are processed through your bank by a payment processor. You complete your order by submitting your bank information.
  • Domestic and international wire transfers: These are processed through your bank with a wire transfer. You complete your order by sending this wire with your bank directly.

While each option may have different transaction limits/fees, processing times, and cancellation policies, you can add funds through a bank transfer through the same process found below. You can do this using the Xapo app (on an Android device or your iPhone) or your web-browser using a computer.

Using your Xapo mobile App

 

How to add money through a bank transfer using your Android phone, step by step.

 

 

Log in to your Xapo account using the mobile app.

  • Go to your Wallet tab.
  • At the top of your screen, tap ADD MONEY.

 

 

Select a method to add money

  • Select Bank Transfer

 

 

Select a method to add money

You will see a number of options depending on your country, as well as the currency supported by the payment processor.

  • Select your preferred option to proceed

 

 

Add Money

Type the amount you would like to add (make sure you’re aware of the currency the order will be processed in).

If you select an amount outside of the minimum/maximum allowed by the payment processor, a message will pop-up to notify you of the limit required.

To confirm, tap

 

 

Review and Confirm the transaction

When reviewing your order, the system will automatically display a breakdown of the Total Cost showing:

  • Amount to add
  • Processing Fee
  • Total to deposit

Confirm your request by tapping CONFIRM.

Log in to your account at xapo.com

  • On your main Dashboard, click Add Funds.

Add Money

  • Select Bank Transfer in your list of options;

Select a method to add money

You will see a number of options depending on your country, as well as the currency supported by the payment processor

Select your preferred option and click Select Method

Enter amount

  • Enter the amount of money you’d like to add (make sure you’re aware of the currency the order will be processed in)

If you select an amount outside of the minimum/maximum allowed by the payment processor, a pop-up message will notify you of the limit required.

When entering the amount, the system will automatically display a breakdown of the Total Cost showing:

  • Amount to add
  • Processing Fee
  • Total to deposit

Click Continue

Review and Confirm the transaction

  • To validate click Confirm.

If you are prompted to make a payment through a payment processor, you will now find instructions on how to complete your order below.

Bank transfers with our partnered payment processors will be processed using your online bank credentials.

  • Enter the bank information requested, your name, and the email address registered with your Xapo account
  • Press Proceed and you’ll be directed to the website of the payment processor you’ve chosen to complete your order
  • Once you’ve been redirected, follow the final prompts provided by the payment processor's website
