How do I reset my password?

Your password is a supplemental code that you create during the sign-up process.

While your PIN is the primary code you use for most actions within the Xapo app, your password will sometimes be asked for specific transactions requiring additional security steps, such as withdrawing money from your Vault to your Wallet. If you have encountered a request to enter your password but have forgotten it you can reset it using the steps below.


You can reset your password using the Xapo app (Android or iPhone).

How to reset your password using the Xapo app (Android).

Open the Xapo app and log in to your account.

  • When prompted with entering your password, tap Forgot Password instead.
Confirm the request.
  • Tap Reset Password to confirm or Cancel to go back.
  • An email will be sent to you within 24 hours to reset your password.
Check your email inbox.
  • Open the email, click Confirm Password Reset and follow the instructions.

How to reset your password using the Xapo app (iPhone).

Open the Xapo app and log in to your account.

  • When prompted with entering your password, tap Forgot Password? instead.
Confirm the request.
  • Tap Confirm to proceed or Cancel to go back.
  • An email will be sent to you within 24 hours to reset your password.
Check your email inbox.
  • Open the email, click Confirm Password Reset and follow the instructions.
