How do I adjust user permission levels on a spending account or Vault?

If you would like to adjust the permission levels of a user on a shared account that you are the owner or admin for, you can do so by accessing your account settings. You can also remove any users that you would no longer like to have access.

You can adjust user permission levels on an account using the Xapo app (Android or iPhone) or a web browser.

How to adjust user permission levels on an account using the Xapo app (Android)

1. Open the Xapo app and log in to your account.

  • Select the Account tab.
  • Select the account you would like to access permission levels for by toggling the account name to the right of your screen.

2. Tap at the top-right corner to open your menu.

  • Select Account settings to proceed.
  • On the next screen, select the user who you would like to adjust permission levels for.

3. Adjust permissions levels for the user.

  • You can toggle the following on/off:
    • Admin: User will be able to add and remove users from the shared account, as well as adjust permission levels.
    • Transfer: User will be able to initiate outgoing transactions.
    • Approve: User will be required to approve all transactions.
  • Tap Save to continue.
As a note, if there are multiple users with 'Approve' permissions on, a transaction will require the approval of all of them.

4. Review the new permission levels.

  • Once you have verified that everything is correct, tap Confirm.

How to adjust user permission levels on an account using the Xapo app (iPhone)

1. Open the Xapo app and log in to your account.

  • Select the Account tab.
  • Select the account you would like to access permission levels for by toggling the account name to the right of your screen.

2. Tap at the top-right corner to open your menu.

  • Select Account settings to proceed.
  • On the next screen, select the user who you would like to adjust permission levels for.

3. Adjust permissions levels for the user.

  • You can toggle the following on/off:
    • Admin: User will be able to add and remove users from the shared account, as well as adjust permission levels.
    • Transfer: User will be able to initiate outgoing transactions.
    • Approve: User will be required to approve all transactions.
  • Tap Save to continue.

    • Approve: User will be required to approve all transactions.
  • Click Save to continue.
