How do I add money through a payment processor?

You can add money using a payment processing company, either through Neteller or Skrill, two of our trusted partners. You will be prompted to register an account with one of these processors during this transaction process; if you already have an account, you can use this as long as the name on the account matches the name registered with your Xapo account.

If you would like to view and compare transaction limits and fees, processing times, and cancellation policies, you can find this information in our help center or directly on your order screen within the Xapo app.

You can add money through a payment processor using the Xapo app (Android or iPhone) or a web browser.

How to add money through a payment processor using the Xapo app (Android)

1. Open the Xapo app and log in to your account.

  • Select the Account tab.
  • Tap Add at the top of your screen.

2. Select 'Payment processor.'

  • Either select Neteller or Skrill.

You can view each processor's processing fee and processing time to compare between the two.

3. Enter the amount you would like to add.

  • Tap Next to continue.

4. Review your transaction details.

  • On the summary screen, you will see the following:
    • Amount to add to your account
    • Processing time
    • Processing fee (amount and %)
    • Total amount to pay
  • Tap Go to Checkout to proceed to your payment. Otherwise, tap Back to My Money to cancel the transaction.

How to add money through a payment processor using the Xapo app (iPhone)

1. Open the Xapo app and log in to your account.

  • Select the Account tab.
  • Tap Add at the top of your screen.

2. Select 'Payment processor.'

  • Either select Neteller or Skrill.

You can view each processor's processing fee and processing time to compare between the two.

3. Enter the amount you would like to add.

  • Tap Next to continue.

4. Review your transaction details.

  • On the summary screen, you will see the following:
    • Amount to add to your account
    • Processing time
    • Processing fee (amount and %)
    • Total amount to pay
  • Tap Go to Checkout to proceed to your payment. Otherwise, tap Back to My Money to cancel the transaction.

How to add money through a payment processor using a web browser

1. Log in to your Xapo account.

  • Select the Account tab.
  • Click Add money at the top of your screen.

2. Select 'Payment processor.'

  • Either select Neteller or Skrill.

You can view each processor's processing fee and processing time to compare between the two.

3. Enter the amount you would like to add.

  • Click Next to continue.

4. Review your transaction details.

  • On the summary screen, you will see the following:
    • Amount to add to your account
    • Processing time
    • Processing fee (amount and %)
    • Total amount to pay
  • Click Go to instructions to proceed to your payment. Otherwise, select Exit to My Money to cancel the transaction.


What next?

Depending on your selected payment method, you will be prompted to make a payment through either:

  • Neteller
  • or Skrill


Complete your order through Neteller:

When confirming your request you will be directed to the website of our partner Neteller, a trusted online payment processor.

You will be asked to sign in or create a new account to complete your payment. If this is the first time that you use Neteller, please create an account in a separate window and return once you have obtained your Neteller account login details. As a reminder, the name registered to your Neteller account must match the name registered to your Xapo account. Otherwise, the payment will be rejected and will result in lost transaction fees.

After you create your account with Neteller, you'll receive a secure ID. Please keep this number in a safe place as you'll be required to enter your ID number to complete all subsequent transactions with Neteller!

Once you've signed in, follow the final prompts provided by the payment processor's website to complete your order. When this process has been completed, your money should be available in your Xapo account within minutes!

Complete your order through Skrill:

When confirming your request you will be directed to the website of our partner Skrill, a trusted online payment processor.

You will be asked to sign in or create a new account to complete your payment. If this is the first time using Skrill, please create an account in a separate window and return once you have obtained your Skrill account login details. Once you've signed in, follow the final prompts provided by the payment processor's website to complete your order. As a reminder, the name registered to your Skrill account must match the name registered to your Xapo account. Otherwise, the payment will be rejected and will result in lost transaction fees.
