What are the requirements to open an Institutional account?

As a legal entity, your institution must pass Xapo's compliance process by providing basic documents regarding your business, including but not limited to:

  • Proof of address
  • Certificates of incorporation
  • Ownership documentation
  • AML regulatory certificates (when applicable)
  • Articles of organization
  • Organizational chart(s)

As a note, in order to create an account for your institution, you must first sign up for a personal account and provide all of the necessary verification documents, including a government-issued photo ID and proof of address. Once your account has been created and verified, you can apply for an Institutional account.

How do I apply for an Institutional account?

Once your personal account has been created and verified, you can apply for your Institutional account at: https://institutions.xapo.com/

You will be required to provide the following information:

  • Institution name
  • Business activity
  • Country
  • Authorized representative
  • Representative email
  • Phone
  • Investment size

Once your application has been submitted, our Institutions team will review your information and reach out to your authorized representative with next steps!

  • Tap your avatar photo to access your settings.

2. Select I'm part of an institution.

  • On the next screen, pick the topic that best applies to you.
  • Tap Contact us to proceed.

3. Describe your issue within your message.

When submitting your form, please follow our guidelines shown below. This will help you receive a much better experience and assistance from us:

  • Be brief and concise as possible.
  • Provide all and any relevant details.
  • Attach any documents/images if needed.
  • Do not submit more than one ticket for the same issue.

Once you submit your ticket, you will receive an acknowledgment email. One of our dedicated Institutional support agents will then respond to you within 24 hours!
