What are the requirements to open an Institutional account?

As a legal entity, your institution must pass Xapo's compliance process by providing basic documents regarding your business, including but not limited to:

  • Proof of address
  • Certificates of incorporation
  • Ownership documentation
  • AML regulatory certificates (when applicable)
  • Articles of organization
  • Organizational chart(s)

If you would like to find out the full eligibility and document requirements to create an Institutional account, please check out our Institutions: Onboarding & KYC Guidelines, which provides detailed information on the process.

As a note, in order to create an account for your institution, you must first sign up for a personal account and provide all of the necessary verification documents, including a government-issued photo ID and proof of address. Once your account has been created and verified, you can apply for an Institutional account.
